Western Australia

Once we arrived in Perth, Paul and his family took really good care of us. After a week we set off to the north, equipped with borrowed car and camping gear. Our main destinations will be Lancelin, The Pinnacles, Kalbarri, Shark Bay, Gnaraloo and Exmouth with its excellent snorkeling spots.

Rodrigues 4. - 11.12.2008

Rodrigues, a tiny island 600km off Mauritius was our next destination.
We were surprised how different the island was compared to Mauritius.
Some landscapes reminded Heidi of England and
its vibe seems to be closer to Madagascar than Mauritius.
The people are extremely friendly and hospitable.
Roro, a friend of a friend in Mauritius was told that we were coming to Rodrigues.
We got picked up from the airport, got invited for lunch, were taken all around the island, were invited to his place to stay over night, met many of his numerous family members, etc. etc.
Wow!
It is hardly possible to describe this in words,
you must come to Rodrigues and see for yourself...

unfortunately this was the only time to see kites in the water...

Mauritius

Hi everyone,

Some pics from our first two weeks on Mauritius...we are having a lovely time (as always) .
Our daily routine has not changed: sleep, eat, relax, read books, kitesurf...
...although on some days the order is different :)
